A Nice Staycation
It was a very pleasant and happy experience. The hotel suite was large and the kitchenette was well stocked. We went to the lounge for a couple of cocktails after our walk around Lost Lagoon and they were delicious. The Sunday morning I got up, made a coffee, sat on the couch and read; the sound of the waves from English Bay could be heard through the windows.

We love the Sylvia Hotel and its wonderful history. The staff could not have been more accommodating and friendly. We look forward to staying there the next time we come to Vancouver.
Excellent Staff
We have been a guest of the hotel for 6 1/2 weeks due to a flood in our condo. Our staycation was like a home away from home. Our small kitchen was perfect for our needs. Front desk staff were exceptional. Adelina in housekeeping attended to our every need. Staying at the Sylvia Hotel reduced our stress considerably and I would recommend this hotel not only for its spectacular location on English Bay but for the wonderful customer service.

Housekeeping, Front Desk, and Restaurant service were excellent. The Sylvia is a magnificent location and we loved the views of English Bay. We enjoyed walks and runs on the Stanley Park seawall only steps from The Sylvia.
Great stay
Loved it! Very convenient location right next to Stanley Park and local beaches – so nice to watch the sun set. Love places rich with history – the building is beautifully covered in flowering vines. The bed was super comfy too. Will definitely stay again next time I’m out this way!

Quaint historic hotel. Close to Stanley park seawall, tennis courts, beach and downtown. Clean. Friendly staff. Underground parking. Restaurant and bar frequented by neighborhood locals. Live entertainment Sunday evenings. Good value.
Great place to make new memories.
Meeting up with old friends from the Yukon, we could not have picked a better place to stay and socialize. The food was great in the hotel, but anything else you might want is within easy walking distance. The view of English Bay never gets tiring. We will be back.
The best place to stay in all of Vancouver
Super friendly staff. The most incredible area of Vancouver. Right on English Bay with tons of great restaurants and coffee shops. Dog friendly and they really mean it! Incredibly reasonable rates – awesome value!
